If you're living with ME/CFS, Long Covid or chronic fatigue and you're looking for a coach who truly gets it, you're in the right place.

I'm Becky, a health and wellbeing coach and gentle yoga teacher with lived experience of ME/CFS. I support people living with ME/CFS, Long Covid, burnout and chronic fatigue to find ways to support their energy, wellbeing and day-to-day life, gently and at their own pace.

Including through The Gentle Energy Collective™ a gentle online membership for people with energy-limiting illness.

No pressure, no jargon, just genuine support designed around your energy levels.

If you've landed here wondering whether anyone truly gets what it's like to live with exhaustion that others can't see, whether that's ME/CFS, Long Covid, burnout, or simply running on empty for far too long, you're in the right place.

You might be tired of:

  • Being told to push through or try harder

  • Feeling like nobody around you truly understands what you're going through

  • Support and services that don't take your energy levels into account

  • Navigating this largely on your own

What you're really looking for:

  • To feel more in control of your health and energy

  • To show yourself more self-compassion and actually mean it

  • To do more of what matters to you, in a way that works for your life now

  • To feel hopeful, not about getting back to who you were, but about who you're becoming

  • To know that the ebbs and flows are normal, and to feel more equipped when they come

You don't have to push through to make progress. Gentle is enough. Learning to live with a condition, adapting, accepting, finding a different way, isn't giving up. It's actually where things start to shift.

About Me

I'm Becky, a health and wellbeing coach and yoga teacher with lived experience of ME/CFS. My work is shaped not only by my coaching and yoga training, but by years of navigating energy-limiting illness myself. I know what it is to keep pushing through, because that's what most of us do. We carry on working, living, functioning as best we can, because we aren't conditioned to stop and we don't realise how devastating that resistance is to our body until it's too late.

That lived experience sits at the heart of everything I do. It informs how I work, how I communicate, and how I support the people who come to me. I'm not working from a textbook. I'm working from a place of genuine understanding.

I hold a certificate in health and wellbeing coaching from Raw Horizons Academy, accredited by The Association for Coaching and the Personalised Care Institute, alongside a 200 hour yoga teacher training qualification.

How I got here and why I do this work

I spent years as a busy full-time primary teacher, a job I loved, but one that demanded everything I had. Like a lot of people, I missed the red flags. Or perhaps more honestly, I chose to ignore them. I was frequently run down, regularly ill, and had somehow normalised running on empty as just part of the job.

After a bout of glandular fever, I was eventually diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, ME/CFS, a name that doesn't come close to capturing how complex and life-altering this condition truly is.

At first I did what many of us do. I pushed through. That's what we're taught, isn't it? But my body had other plans. Life changed dramatically. I found myself managing a wide range of debilitating symptoms and struggling to complete even the smallest everyday tasks. The life I'd known felt very far away.

What followed wasn't a straight line. Through research, reflection, and eventually learning to stop fighting my body and start listening to it, I slowly began to rebuild. There were setbacks as well as steps forward. Progress came gradually, and not without cost. I'm still living with ME, and I'm all too aware that my experience isn't everyone's. But over time I found ways to better support my own health and wellbeing, and that changed everything.

It led me to train as a health and wellbeing coach, to qualify as a yoga teacher, and to create The Gentle Energy Collective™, an online membership built specifically for people living with energy-limiting illness, where gentleness, rest and realistic support sit at the heart of everything.

And because I spent so many years in primary education, I also understand, in a way many coaches don't, the very particular challenges families face when a child is living with ME/CFS or Long Covid. Navigating school, advocating for the right support, and trying to hold everything together as a parent is its own kind of exhausting. That's why I offer education support and advocacy for parents too.

I now work as a wellbeing coach supporting people living with ME/CFS, Long Covid, chronic fatigue and other energy-limiting conditions. Everything I do comes from lived experience, genuine understanding, and a deep care for the people I work with. Which is really just another way of saying: I get it. And I want to help.

A Gentle Way of Working

I'm here to offer support that feels realistic, understanding and genuinely helpful, for the moments when life slows down, shifts in ways you didn't plan for, or has to look completely different for a while.

That means:

  • No pressure to push through

  • No expectation to get back to who you were

  • No one size fits all approach

Instead:

  • Gentle, not forceful

  • Realistic, not performative

  • Working with your energy, not against it

  • Lived understanding, not theory only

  • Recognising that illness affects more than just the person living with it

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes you different from other coaches or wellbeing support?

There are many who work in the wellness space but first off you'll never hear me use that term (apart from here or on a blog about it!). Wellness is disparaging for many living with chronic conditions so I much prefer the term wellbeing. What also makes my work different is that it comes from the inside. I'm not supporting people with ME/CFS, Long Covid and chronic fatigue from a textbook or a training course alone. I'm doing it as someone who lives with ME and navigates energy-limiting illness every single day. That shapes everything, from how I communicate, to how I structure sessions, to the pace I work at with each person. I also bring over two decades of experience in primary education, which means I understand the particular pressures facing teachers, and the challenges families face when a child is living with one of these conditions.

Do I need a formal diagnosis to work with you?

No. Many people living with ME/CFS, Long Covid or chronic fatigue wait a long time for a formal diagnosis, and some never receive one at all. You don't need a letter from a doctor to know that something isn't right, or to deserve support. If you're living with exhaustion that is way beyond tiredness and you're looking for a gentler way forward, you're welcome here.

I'm a parent of a child with ME/CFS or Long Covid. Can you help me?

Yes. As a former primary school teacher I understand the education system from the inside, and I know how hard it can be to advocate for a child with an energy-limiting condition. Navigating school, fighting for the right support, and trying to hold everything together as a parent is exhausting in its own right. I offer education support and advocacy for parents of children with ME/CFS and Long Covid, helping you feel more informed, more confident and less alone in the process. If you'd like to find out more, take a look at my services page.

Do you offer anything other than one to one coaching?

Yes. As well as one to one coaching I offer:

- The Gentle Energy Collective™ — a supportive online membership

- Gentle yoga classes

- Education support and advocacy for parents

- Workplace advocacy and support sessions

You can explore everything on my services page.
