Gentle Online Yoga Classes for Chronic Illness and Slower Movement

Supportive mat, chair, and restorative yoga classes designed to help you move comfortably, feel calmer, and reconnect with your body — at a pace that works for you.

Move gently from home in a supportive, non-judgemental space

Movement Hasn't Always Felt Safe — and That's Understandable

If you've found other yoga classes too fast-paced, physically demanding, or simply not designed with your body in mind, you're not alone. When you're living with chronic illness, fatigue, pain, or changing energy levels, the way most movement spaces are set up can feel overwhelming rather than welcoming.

These online mat, chair, and restorative yoga classes take a different approach — one built around pacing, rest, and listening to your body. Whether you're living with ME/CFS, Long Covid, chronic pain, or simply need a slower and more supportive way to move, you're welcome here exactly as you are.

  • Gentle pacing with encouragement to rest whenever needed

  • Chair, mat, and restorative yoga options

  • A calm, non-judgemental online space

Move in a Way That Supports Your Body, Not Against It

Movement That Works With Your Energy

Gentle mat, chair, and restorative yoga designed to support mobility, balance, and confidence — without pressure to push beyond your limits. A slower pace gives your body space to move in a way that feels manageable on the day.

Feel Calmer and More Grounded

Through gentle movement, breath, and rest, classes are designed to help you slow down, support your nervous system, and find moments of calm. Over time, you may begin building a gentle toolkit you can return to between classes on more difficult days.

Rebuild Trust in Your Body at Your Own Pace

If movement has started to feel intimidating, exhausting, or out of reach, these classes offer a more supportive way back in. You're encouraged to rest when needed, use modifications where they help, and reconnect with movement without judgement.

Gentle, Supportive Yoga for Real Bodies and Real Energy Levels

Hi, I'm Becky. I know that movement can feel very different when you're living with chronic illness, fatigue, pain, or changing mobility — because I live with ME/CFS myself.

I've had to relearn my own relationship with movement, and I understand how important it is to feel safe, comfortable, and not judged in a movement space. My classes are designed to offer a gentler, more accessible approach to yoga - one that encourages rest, pacing, and listening to your body rather than pushing through.

Whether you're joining for chair yoga, restorative practice, or gentle movement from home, my aim is to help you feel calmer, more settled, and welcome exactly as you are.

[Wondering why I use the word 'movement' more than 'exercise'? You can read more about that here.]

Becky, founder of Wellbeing for ME, certified Health and Wellbeing Coach and yoga teacher, in a calm relaxed setting.

What People Have Said About Classes I've Taught

“You were clear on your instructions and did everything with a lovely smile. You gave alternatives if anyone needed help with a movement and checked with everyone if they could hear you.”

Val

“I enjoyed Becky’s chair yoga sessions, she has a friendly, outgoing personality. Her instructions were clear, she stressed to only go as far as the individual felt comfortable. I felt my entire body had been exercised and stretched with no adverse reactions afterwards.”

Rosemary

“I really enjoyed your class. You gave good, clear instructions and are a very pleasant young lady well suited to teaching.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous yoga experience to join?

No previous experience is needed. Classes are designed to offer a gentler, more supportive approach to movement, and you're encouraged to move at a pace that feels right for your body.

Are these classes suitable for ME/CFS, Long Covid, or chronic illness?

Classes are designed with fatigue, slower movement, pacing, and accessibility in mind, and may suit people living with chronic illness, ME/CFS, Long Covid, pain, or changing mobility. Everyone's situation is different, so you're always welcome to enquire before joining.

What if I need to rest during class?

Rest is always welcome and encouraged. These classes are not about keeping up or pushing through - you're invited to listen to your body and take breaks whenever you need to.

What happens after I enquire?

You'll receive a PAR-Q and informed consent form along with details about joining online. This helps create a safer and more supportive experience for everyone attending.

What do I need for an online class?

A quiet, comfortable space and an internet connection. Depending on the class, you may also want a yoga mat, chair, cushions, blankets, or anything else that helps you feel supported at home.

Can I keep my camera off?

Yes, you're welcome to keep your camera off if that feels more comfortable. Do bear in mind that if your camera is off, personalised verbal guidance based on what Becky can see won't be possible - but the choice is always yours.

What if I'm having a lower-energy or flare day?

You're always encouraged to listen to your body. Some people choose to rest more, adapt movements, or simply join for breathwork and relaxation on lower-energy days.

Are classes live or pre-recorded?

Classes are live online sessions, allowing for a more supportive and connected experience while still giving you the comfort of practising from home.

How are these classes different from regular yoga classes?

The focus is on gentler movement, rest, and pacing rather than intensity or performance. Modifications and chair options are built in, rest is actively encouraged, and the environment is designed to feel calmer and more accessible - particularly for people living with fatigue or chronic illness.

You don't need to push through, keep up with everyone else, or ignore what your body is telling you in order to benefit from yoga.

If you're living with chronic illness, fatigue, pain, changing mobility, or simply feeling disconnected from movement, these online mat, chair, and restorative yoga classes are designed to offer a gentler way back in - one that works with your body rather than against it.

If this sounds like the kind of approach you've been looking for, you're warmly invited to enquire about your first class.
